DUCKS' HOMECOMING RALLY FALLS SHORT |
|
The Taylor Ducks rallied from a 25-7 deficit Friday but the Madisonville Mustangs kicked the game-winning, 30-yard field goal with :06 seconds on the clock to spoil the Ducks bid for a homecoming celebration in a wild, 28-26 setback. The loss was the third in a row for the Ducks, now 0-2 in District 24-AAA play, but their sparkling comeback efforts drew cheers from the large homecoming crowd. The Ducks scored 4th quarter TD's from Samuel Jirasek (41-yard pass) and Jacob Doss (3-yard run) to claim a sweet 26-25 lead with 1:06 to play. But the comeback was spoiled as Madisonville's Eddie Palacious booted his third FG of the night for the victory. The Ducks travel to Bryan Rudder Friday for a 7:30 p.m. kickoff. |
