HI STEPPERS TAKE TOP PRIZES IN LEANDER |

Taylor Hi-Steppers Director Ashley Sengsouvanh has announced that her squad is off and running for the Spring competiton series and they grabbed eight 1st place trophies over the weekend in Leander against 4A and 5A competition. "The girls worked hard and the hard work paid off," said Sengsovanh."We took 4 team and 3 officers and 1 social routine. The results were in and we came home with 4 Division I (score of 90 and above) for team, along with 4 1st place trophies. Officers brought home 3 1st place trophies and the Team received the Overall Top Scoring Team for the whole contest!" It was the 2nd year in a row for the Hi-Steppers to bring the top scoring award home to Taylor High School. Their next contest is Feb. 6th at Vandergrift High School. |

DUCKS POWERLIFTERS HOST SATURDAY MEET AT TMS |

Taylor High School Powerlifting Coach Rob Marek reports that the THS boys and girls lifters competed in the Elgin Powerlifting Meet on Saturday Jan. 30th. The boys finished as the 5th place team. Boy's Individual Honors:

This Saturday, THS is hosting its annual Powerlifting Meeting at the Taylor Middle School beginning at 9 a.m. Hopes are that a huge crowd will turn out to watch!

LADY DUCKS BATTLE #6 NAVASOTA; HOSTS CALDWELL |

Coach Kisha Jones and her Lady Ducks varsity basketball squad fought hard Tuesday as they battled #6 state-ranked Navasota and eventually dropped an 82-35 decision to the Lady Rattlers. Taylor's scrappy defense kept the game close in the 1st half, but a 30-4 run by Navasota popped the Lady Ducks' dreams of the ultimate upset. Taylor returns home Friday to play Caldwell in for final home game of the season, before traveling to Rockdale Tuesday for their season finale. Game times are 6:30 & 8 pm. |

THS HOSTS PSAT PARENT MEETING TONIGHT |

Taylor High School counselor Marilyn Tennill has announced that there will be a PSAT Parent's Meeting on Thursday, January 14th at 6:30 p.m. in the THS cafeteria. The meeting is designed for parents and students that have taken the PSAT and wish a better understanding of the PSAT scores and the usefulness of the information provided by the printout. |
