THS HOSTS IMMUNIZATION CLINIC MARCH 8TH |

Taylor ISD nurses will be having an immunization clinic open to the public on Monday, March 8th from 4-7 pm at Taylor High Cafeteria, according to Nurse Sally Naivar. "We will offer the H1N1 and Tdap which is tetanus, diptheria and pertussis (whooping cough)," added Naivar, "And we will be giving shots until we run out of vaccine or 7 p.m." If you have not been immunized against whooping cough in the last 2 years you should take advantage of this FREE clinic, according to Naivar. Taylor ISD has had documented cases of whooping cough on all campuses this year.

If you have completed all high school graduation requirements and are no longer enrolled in school, but still need to pass TAKS tests, you should register for the following tests. March 1: Soc Studies; March 3: ELA; March 4: Math and March 5: Science. Contact THS testing coordinator Whitney Thomas at 352-6326. The registration packet may be picked up Monday-Friday from 8 am - 4 pm at the THS Counseling Center. The registration forms need to be completed and returned in the pre-addressed envelope. Students may register online at www.texasassessment.com. |

DUCKS SOCCER TIES LOCKHART; HOSTS SMITHVILLE |

THS Boy's Soccer Coach Casey Shuck reports that the Ducks overcame a 3-0 deficit on the road Tuesday against 4A Lockhart and showed some "real grit" as they stormed back and battled the Lions to a 3-3 tie. Goals by Josh Hinkle, Ulises Avalos and Arthur Bousard knotted the game as the Ducks showed "hustle and effort" on the Lions' home turf and battled their way back from the early 3-0 hole. The Ducks return home Friday to host Smithville at 6 pm at Memorial Field. |
