Welcome to the Taylor ISD School Counseling Page. TISD school counselors are here to support students of all backgrounds and abilities. With a school counselor in each elementary school, two school counselors in middle school, three school counselors at the high school, one at Legacy Early College HS, and one at our Taylor Opportunity Center, the TISD counseling department is well positioned to serve our student and parent populations. Our school-based partnerships with local agencies, businesses, and continuing education institutions, allow our district to continue to demonstrate our commitment to collaboration during the school age years and beyond to ensure a bright future for our students.
As a parent, you can expect classroom lessons from your elementary school counselors, small group discussions from your middle school counselors and thorough college and career direction from your high school counselors. As advocates for health and wellness, armed with a commitment to building assets among youth, counselors at all school levels work diligently with staff, administrators, and community partners to support students and families. The recent adoption of the American School Counseling Association (ASCA) National Standards by this department demonstrates the high expectations we have set for ourselves in the areas of Academic, Career, and Personal/Social development.
As always, please contact your campus counselor of myself, Director of Counseling Services, if you have any questions or concerns regarding your student. We look forward to working with you and welcome your call.
