“I’ve been filling up my Amazon cart with green and Duck related items,” Heinchon told the staff when she met with them for the first time. “This shirt is new, and I have another green shirt. I have duck pens, I have Duck push pins and I bought Duck earrings.”
With over eighteen years of experience in education, Heinchon has most recently served as the principal of Hearne Elementary since 2017. She began her career teaching elementary school, and went on to serve in leadership roles in curriculum and instruction with a focus on literacy.
“Stephanie brings a strong instructional background and has experience as an elementary principal and curriculum director,” said Taylor ISD Superintendent, Dr. Devin Padavil. “I know she will be able to leverage the strengths of the Naomi Pasemann faculty to create great learning experiences for students.”
Heinchon said she is passionate about developing positive relationships, working with students as they grow, and supporting teachers and staff to help them reach their greatest potential. She plans to work on building strong connections between school and home and fostering a positive school culture.
“I want to build on the excellence that is already here,” Heinchon said. “I have heard great things about the campus and the staff and the instruction, so I want to take what’s there and just enhance it.”
Heinchon said she is excited to begin her new role on July 1, and is looking forward to involving teacher and community voices and continuing the Taylor Duck traditions.
“I feel like from the moment I met everyone that I was part of the family,” Heinchon said. “There is this genuineness that just envelops you and you want to be part of it.”
