“The last four years of my career have been spent as the principal of a 5th and 6th grade campus which brings me great perspective for leading the students and staff at MSI,”
Pierce said. “My knowledge of what students need to be prepared for and the expectations of middle school will have a great impact on the level of their success, and I am eager to share that expertise.”
Taylor ISD Superintendent, Dr. Devin Padavil, described Ms. Pierce as the kind of leader Taylor needs as we re-envision the future of our elementary schools.
“Ms. Pierce will be the kind of leader to help lead us towards the experience our students deserve,” Padavil said. “Her experience as a strong leader at the district and campus level will benefit the staff, students and families served by this elementary school.”
Pierce said that supporting teachers, students and parents is her utmost priority.
“I believe my primary role is to create an environment that will grow our students and staff so they can reach their full potential,” Pierce said. “Our jobs as educators are more important than ever, and setting the bar high will have positive outcomes for our students.”
Pierce and her husband Mike have two daughters. Mia will be heading to Kalamazoo College in the fall on an academic scholarship to pursue a degree in Biology. Their youngest, Addison, will enter her junior year as a Taylor Duck.
Pierce will have a meet and greet for families on May 16th at 6:00pm in the Taylor ISD Board Room.
