Educational Rights & Responsibilities During Covid-19

As a result of COVID-19, many families must make decisions about their children’s education that factor in student and family safety as well as student learning. This flyer is intended to outline some of the options parents have when returning to school and to share some information regarding those options.

TISD Offers Acceleration Exams

Taylor ISD is offering opportunities for secondary students to earn credit in academic subjects and for elementary students to accelerate a grade level by passing the appropriate examinations for acceleration.

Lunch Applications Now Available

If you would like to APPLY or RENEW your application for free or reduced lunches, please complete the form online at www.taylorisd.org (Under the "Parents" tab you will find the school lunch app).
To request an application by mail, please send your request to [email protected] The completed application should then be returned to Angelica Cazalas at 3101 N. Main St., Suite 104 Taylor, Texas 76574. You may also email it to [email protected], or fax to 512-365-3800.
Only one application is needed per household.

FREE Student Flu Clinic October 11th

Health Heroes will provide free flu shots for Taylor ISD students on October 11th. Parents will receive a letter and consent form from your child's school. The deadline for returning consent forms is October 2, 2019.

STAAR Summer Administration & Boot Camps

High school students that did not meet satisfactory in one or more STAAR assessments have an opportunity to retake the assessments between June 24th-27th. Boot camps to prepare for these assessments will be held June 18th-20th. Click the title above for more details.

Notice of Public Meeting to Discuss Budget and Proposed Tax Rate

The Taylor ISD will hold a public meeting at 6:45 PM on 06/24/2019 at 3101 North Main Street, Suite 104 Taylor, TX. The purpose of this meeting is to discuss the school district's budget that will determine the tax rate that will be adopted. Public participation in the discussion is invited.

Taylor ISD is offering opportunities for secondary students to earn credit in academic subjects and for elementary students to accelerate a grade level by passing the appropriate examinations for acceleration. Exams will be offered for all grade levels 1-5 and most TEKS-based courses in grades 6-12. The purpose of examination for acceleration is to allow a student to accelerate and earn credit for a particular course or grade level without formal instruction in that course or grade level.
