Attendance Requirements 2020-21
Per Texas Education Agency Code (TEC), 25.092, students must attend 90% of the days a course is offered (with some exceptions) in order to be awarded credit for the course and/or to be promoted to the next grade. This requirement remains in force during the 2020-21 school year.
- In person students must attend 90% of the days a course is offered and follow local attendance requirements in order to be awarded credit for the course and/or to be promoted to the next grade.
- Remote students must attend 90% of the days a course is offered and follow local attendance requirements in order to be awarded credit for the course and/or to be promoted to the next grade.

- Remote minutes per day requirements:
- PK3: 90 Asynchronous instructional minutes
- PK4- Grade 5: 180 Asynchronous instructional minutes
- Grades 6-12: 240 Asynchronous instructional minutes

If a parent initially requests remote instruction and their child is enrolled in the remote program, they can request a switch to the on-campus instructional setting at the conclusion of the grading period (nine weeks for elementary, six weeks for secondary).
