Waddles Family Tree! At Homecoming 2023, Taylor's mascot, Waddles, took a moment to visit with Taylor's mascot from 1936 - 1939, Phil Pierce. At the time Mr. Pierce became the mascot, T. H. Johnson was the coach, and Taylor had only been the Ducks for 12 years. He was a second grader at the time, and dressed in uniform to match the team. He later went on to serve as captain of the 1945 team, an unbeaten and untied team that won the regional championship. At homecoming, Mr Pierce donated his mascot uniform to the Duck Room Museum.
