THS Senior Named Finalist for Questbridge Scholarship
Please join us in congratulating Taylor High School senior, Rose Simons, on being named a finalist for the prestigious Questbridge Scholarship.
According to THS teacher Vicki Rowe who nominated Simons, close to 18,000 students completed the application in 2022. There were 5,600 finalists and 1,755 students were awarded a Questbridge Scholarship which is worth about $200,000.
"Taylor High School students have been very successful in recent years and several of our students have either received a Questbridge Scholarship or were offered substantial scholarships after interviews with alumni from the various universities among the Questbridge Partners,” Rowe said. “This is a testament to the quality of scholars we have here at Taylor High School and their ability to succeed on a national level with the brightest and best at schools like Yale, MIT, Harvard and Columbia. I am so proud of them for their motivation and perseverance to go through this rigorous process and pursue the Questbridge opportunity."
Simons plans to study computer science after high school.
