    This is a quick guide for you to show you the resources available to students from the THS Library.  All students at Taylor High School have access to these resources.

    The TexQuest Databases are a collection of curated educational resources provided by the Texas State Library and Archives.  These resources contain scholarly articles, videos, biographies, and literature related to every class and subject offered to THS students. Login and password required.

    The Teen Book Cloud is a subscription service which provides access to 1000 curated eBooks appropriate for middle and high school students.  Login and password required.

    MackinVia is the platform which houses the eBooks owned by the THS library and also provides shortcuts to the databases.  Student login and password required.

    The Taylor High School Library catalog is available for you to view.  Return to the Library page and scroll to the bottom to locate the Alexandria Library Catalog.  Click on the link to access the card catalog.  No login or password is required.

    If there is a book or author you do not wish your child to check out from the THS library, please click on the THS "No Access" Campus Library Request Form.  Follow directions to complete and submit the form.  When I receive it, I can put a note in your child's library account so they will not be able to check out that particular book or books by that author.

     

  • This form allows parents or guardians to restrict access to specific books for their child. Books listed on this form will be marked as "no access", meaning your child will not be permitted to check them out or read them from the school library.

    THS Parent "No Access" Campus Library Request

    Before completing this form, please follow these steps:

    1. Check your child’s school library catalog to confirm that the book is available in the library collection.

    2. If the book is available, complete this form to notify the school librarian and your child’s teacher that your child should not be allowed to check out or read the specified title.

    Formulario de Restricción de Libros para Padres o Tutores

    Este formulario permite a los padres o tutores restringir el acceso a libros específicos para su hijo(a). Los libros indicados en este formulario se marcarán como "sin acceso", lo que significa que su hijo(a) no podrá sacarlos en préstamo ni leerlos en la biblioteca escolar.

    Antes de completar este formulario, por favor siga estos pasos:

    1. Revise el catálogo de la biblioteca escolar de su hijo(a) para confirmar que el libro está disponible en la colección de la biblioteca.

    2. Si el libro está disponible, complete este formulario para notificar al bibliotecario escolar y al maestro(a) de su hijo(a) que no se le debe permitir sacar en préstamo ni leer el título especificado.
