Taylor ISD is excited to announce the hire of Jamie Moller as the next Principal of Taylor Middle School.
She has served as the middle school’s interim principal for the past month, and as TISD’s Director of Student Services for the past year. Jamie is a seasoned school administrator, especially at the middle school level. Before stepping into the administrative role in TISD, she served as a principal in Del Valle ISD for four years, and as an assistant principal for an additional four years.
“We are excited to have Jamie take on the role of principal at Taylor Middle School on a permanent basis,” said Dr. Jennifer Garcia-Edwardsen. “Even as an interim principal for the past month, Jamie has been instrumental in preparing the middle school for the next school year. She has hired teachers, started planning, and worked with staff to ensure a smooth start for our students. Her expertise in school leadership will ensure our continued success at TMS.”
In this position, Mrs. Moller’s top focus areas will be supporting academic excellence and positive behavior support systems to continue a holistic approach to student success.
“I’m honored and proud to be the next principal of Taylor Middle School. I cannot wait to get started and welcome our students back this coming school year,” Ms. Moller said. “I’ve already had the pleasure of working with our staff as interim and, before that, as Director of Student Services, so I’m ready to continue the work already underway in support of our students.”
Jamie began her career as a secondary Algebra teacher and taught at Desoto ISD and Del Valle ISD prior to her role as a school administrator. Jamie graduated from Texas A&M University with a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and a Master's degree in Educational Leadership. She is the mother to three children and enjoys spending time with her loved ones when she’s at home.
Ms. Moller will move into the principal role immediately. She is succeeding Mr. Steven Vigil who is now the new Career and Technical Education administrator for the district. You can read that announcement at this link.
