Calling all young dreamers!
Youth ages 4–18 are invited to participate in our MLK Jr. Youth Essay & Art Contest, inspired by the powerful legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., hosted by the Greater Taylor Area Dr. MLK Jr. Memorial Celebration.
“I Have a Dream.”
Dr. King shared his vision for a better world. Create a visual representation of the world you dream of. What does it look like? How do people treat one another? Think about harmony, hope, and togetherness.
Dr. King had a dream for a better world. What is your dream for your school, community, or the world? What steps can you take to help make that dream a reality?
This is an opportunity for students to share their voices, creativity, and vision for a brighter future.
We can’t wait to see their dreams come to life!
Submissions for both contests are open now and the deadline to enter is Friday, Jan. 9, 2026. For more information, call 512-466-9891, or email tmlkcc@yahoo.com.
