Posted Date: 12/18/25 (09:29 AM)

Calling all young dreamers! ✍️🎨
Youth ages 4–18 are invited to participate in our MLK Jr. Youth Essay & Art Contest, inspired by the powerful legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr., hosted by the Greater Taylor Area Dr. MLK Jr. Memorial Celebration.
🖌️ Art Contest Prompt:
“I Have a Dream.”
Dr. King shared his vision for a better world. Create a visual representation of the world you dream of. What does it look like? How do people treat one another? Think about harmony, hope, and togetherness.
📝 Essay Contest Prompt:
Dr. King had a dream for a better world. What is your dream for your school, community, or the world? What steps can you take to help make that dream a reality?
This is an opportunity for students to share their voices, creativity, and vision for a brighter future. 🌍💭
We can’t wait to see their dreams come to life!

Submissions for both contests are open now and the deadline to enter is Friday, Jan. 9, 2026. For more information, call 512-466-9891, or email tmlkcc@yahoo.com.
