Marco R. Ortiz

Marco R. Ortiz has served on the Taylor ISD Board of Trustees since 2015 and currently serves as Board President. A Master Trustee, he is committed to supporting Taylor ISD students, staff and families and is a familiar presence at campus and district events throughout the year.

Ortiz also serves as President of MASBA – School Board Members for Latino Equity and is an active member of the American Legion. A veteran of the United States Marine Corps, he brings a strong commitment to service and community leadership to his role on the Board. In recognition of his service and impact in the Taylor community, Ortiz was named the 2025 Taylor Rotary Club Citizen of the Year.

He is the proud father of twin daughters who graduated from Taylor High School and remains actively connected to the schools and community he serves.
